01 · Billing
Strips, bottles and boxes, priced the way you buy them
A medical shop sells the same product in three shapes, and a system that insists everything is a piece makes the counter do arithmetic all day. Units here are whatever you call them — strip, bottle, tube, box — and each product carries its own selling price, MRP and purchase cost, so the bill shows what the customer pays and the report shows what you made.
Any unit: strip, bottle, tube, box, pack

02 · Tax
The slab and the HSN, on the line
Choosing pharmacy as your trade narrows the HSN picker to medicine and medical-goods codes rather than the general list, so the right code is two taps away instead of a search. Rates follow the current GST slabs, and the invoice splits tax into CGST and SGST within your state or shows IGST outside it.

03 · Customers
The repeat customer, and what they bought last time
Chronic prescriptions come back every month, and the useful question at the counter is what this person bought last time rather than who they are. Each customer keeps their purchase history and, where you allow credit, an udhaar balance that points at specific bills instead of one running figure.

04 · Staff
A counter hand who cannot see what you paid
Add staff as cashiers and they can bill and take payment without seeing purchase prices, margins or reports. Every product edit, every cancelled bill and every price change is recorded with the name of whoever did it and what the value was before, in a log that cannot be edited or deleted afterwards.

Common questions
Questions from medical shops.
Does it track batch numbers and expiry dates?
Not yet, and we would rather say so than let you find out after moving your shop across. Batch and expiry tracking is designed and on the list, but today the product records stock per item, not per batch. If expiry management is the reason you are looking, this is not the right fit right now.
Does it handle Schedule H or narcotic registers?
No. BillCountr bills, tracks stock, keeps customer credit and produces GST invoices and reports. Statutory drug registers are a separate obligation and are not part of the product.
Can it bill without internet?
Yes, all of it — bills, stock, customer credit, printing and the invoice number itself. Work queues on the phone and syncs by itself when the connection returns.
Can I bill the same medicines quickly for a regular?
Yes. Items come up from the first few letters as you type, and the customer's history shows what they bought last time, so a monthly repeat is a short job rather than a fresh search.
What happens when I have to cancel a bill?
The bill is cancelled and raised again rather than edited. The original stays in the record marked cancelled, prints with a watermark, and its effect on stock and the customer's balance is reversed. A return is issued as a credit note with its own number.
